SOUTHWEST COAST TREKKING

Enjoy this city break to know Vicentina coast, a natural park out of the beaten track in Alentejo.                      This beautiful wild experience starts the moment we go south through the coast by car passing other old Vilas, to arrive in our first stop Zambujeira do Mar Vila to explore the relatively unknown SW coast. Along this stretch of coast it is interesting to take a close look at the cliffs and wild landscapes of Vicentina Coast Natural Park.

We’ll start trekking from Zambujeira do Mar beach passing on the top of amazing protected beaches on the way to Azenha do Mar small Vila, where you will find a natural fishing harbour. Along the walk you’ll enjoy one of the most outstanding views in the entire territory, where the cliffs’ rocks have over 300 million years ago.

Besides from the trekking, the whole point of being here is to slow down, enjoy nature and connect with yourself in a moment of true freedom and pleasure. Then we stop for lunch (not included) a meal full of fresh seafood to choose from -bass, bream, salmon, lobster, prawns, crabs, goose barnacles, clams- where we never eat the same thing twice and the view is just astonishing.

Will pass by Odeceixe Vila to the beach where the landscape is breathtaking: a broad expanse of sand with a shallow river running through it (ideal for young children). This beach is perfect for having a moment to relax your body and mind. So you feel Mother Nature’s gift before the last swim in the ocean or river we share a fuller’s earth clay bath with you so we head back to the city feeling younger, refreshed and peaceful, because life is good.
